Preload is a training log. It stores what you need it to store and nothing else. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics — your training data is not a product being sold to anyone.
What is stored
- Your account. Your name and email address, from Google. Preload requests only the basic
openid, profileandemailpermissions — it cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts. - What you log. Workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, your program and weekly schedule, goals, races and any notes you enter.
- WHOOP data, only if you connect it. Daily recovery, sleep, strain, heart-rate variability and resting heart rate.
- Strava data, only if you connect it. Your activities — type, distance, moving time, elevation and pace.
Connecting WHOOP or Strava is entirely optional, and Preload works fully without either. You can disconnect them at any time from Settings, which also deletes the access tokens.
Where it is stored
In a managed Redis database operated by Upstash, and served by Vercel. Both are processors acting on Preload's behalf. Your data is stored under an internal account identifier rather than your email address.
Who it is shared with
Nobody. It is not sold, rented or shared for advertising. The only third parties involved are the services that make the app run: Google (sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (storage), and WHOOP or Strava if you choose to connect them.
If you connect Preload to an AI assistant through its Model Context Protocol integration, that assistant can read the training data you approve it to see, and write changes if you grant write access. You choose the scope when you connect, you can see every connected app in Settings, and disconnecting immediately revokes its access.
Deleting your data
Settings has a Delete all my data action. It removes every record Preload holds for you — training history, program, goals, integration tokens — and revokes any connected applications at the same time. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Data is kept until you delete it. There is no separate archive or backup you cannot reach.
Error logs
When something goes wrong on the server, Preload records the error, the page or API route it happened on, and the request method, so the fault can be found and fixed. These logs are kept by Vercel and are not used for analytics or profiling. They do not include what you logged, the contents of your requests, or your training data.
Cookies
One session cookie, so you stay signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
Changes
If what Preload collects ever changes — for example, if error monitoring is added — this page will be updated and the date above will change.
